We arrived at Vinyl Theater in midtown and found our place in the pit. We ended up taking her to this artsy restaurant in Midtown where we all shared lemon and orange chicken, afterwards we gave Sara her present and she was so surprise. We decided to surprise Sara with the concert so we told her we were going downtown to a nice dinner and that we should all dress up to take pictures. I remember loving the concert so much I begged my mom to buy me a ton of merch-I still have the “Speak Now” t-shirt I got.Įver since the Panic! Concert, Ellie, Sara and I have been obsessed with Misterwives so we thought what better present to get Sara for her 16 th birthday than tickets to their concert. A set list and four outfit changes later, the concert was over. After his performance, Taylor took the stage. The opening act was the one and only Usher. Fortunately the lady next to me bought a pair and let me borrow them. We were so far away from the stage that they had workers walking around selling binoculars-seriously, it happened. My sister and her friends had seats closer towards the stage and my mom and I were stuck in the nosebleed section-would not recommend. We ate a quick dinner and when the time came we headed for Phillips Arena. We were all dressed to impress, cowboy boots included, of course. When the spring finally rolled around my mom, sister and I dressed up and headed down town where we met a group of my sister’s friends and their moms. The concert was meant to be sometime in December, but Taylor got sick so the concert was delayed and planned to be in spring. I must have been about 11 years old and my parents had surprised my sister and I with tickets to her Speak Now tour. The first concert I went to was Taylor Swift.
